The PLC‒GIT Products technical has two software parts

• La macchina o la parte dell'impianto necessita di comunicare con il PLC.

La parte relativa all'impianto deve essere eseguita nell'impianto reale, dove le impostazioni di sicurezza necessarie nell'ambiente IT lo consentono. PlcGit can be installed all in one machine or distributed on multiple machines. Complex environments with multiple production buildings and higher network security requirements will run the machine parts accessing the real PLC in each building, the git/gitlab part often is hosted in the central company IT department.
Additionally not every installation will need the graphical merge tings. Backup and restore do not need them.
The base configuration with the browser is included in the license models with web, or this parts are hosted separately. There are no extra license costs for the basic backup/restore configuration and handling things.

In really big installations the web part can be distributed also. One machine will run the gitlab parts with the user management. The file things can run another machine with big drives storing the data, possibly with a backup scheme.
This will not affect the license costs.

The gitlab and file parts can run as a cloud service, but this need not to be. Cost control and higher security is better running giltab on an machine in the location or the IT of the company.

Price model agents

The agent communicates with the PLC.
The license depends on the type of PLC series. PLC series are Siemens S7 1500 models, Siemens S7 300/400 models programmed with TIA Portal, Siemens S7 300/400 programmed with the old Step7 software. Rockwell Compact Logics and Control Logics is another PLC model.
The price also will be affected by the amount of PLC an agent will handle.

An base license can be combined with various extensions for the PLC series and the amount of PLC.
For often used configuration complete license packets are offered.

Price model management console

The management central unit connect to the agents. The repositories are handled, the web server offers the configuration, checkouts and diff/merge functionalities.
There is one price for the basic management.

Price model diff and merge

Showing differences and merge functions are working independently from real PLC and management functions.
The price for this is once for each management console.

Price model collaboration for creating one PLC program from multiple parts

Collaboration is for the creation of a PLC program for an individual PLC from multiple sources. Mostly a PLC program is created in the parts from multiple working teams, often the components are coming from multiple companies. The collecting of these parts need combining them, creates the necessary data basic definitions. This will give multiple hints, warnings or errors during this process.
